House mouse, CPS, and cake!

Today has been rather productive, At least for being so sick! Ha ha ha I guess the antibiotics are kicking in and I'm good to go! I feel like.... well not a million, but maybe a couple hundred thousand bucks! Ha ha ha

My morning started at 5 am, mostly because I couldn't breathe through my nose, and that is not too conducive to sleeping, but I digress.  I read a couple chapters from "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" while sipping piping hot Coffee and indulging in a chocolate peanut butter LaraBar and a Banana.  That my friends, leads to this..... a Card made BEFORE sun-up!
I think it came out well, although the lighting is bad... I was trying to play with morning sunlight, and it seems I've failed miserably, But I was NOT going out in the freezing cold to take the pic.... OK, so I did try to do just that, but the stinking wind was too strong, and by the time I got the card upright and the camera focused, poof, Mother Nature knocked it down! I'm going to enter this card into the House Mouse Challenge (use one of their images and two, or more, hearts) and in the CPS challenge, which was a sketch! You can check them out by clicking on their names, by the way.

So it was off to the kitchen for me! I decided to bake some cupcakes to donate to the old folks home down town.  They send me a list of their birthdays of residents who don't have family in the area, and I bake cupcakes to take to them so they don't feel forgotten.  Today was a lady named Nevada's birthday, so she got some Milk Chocolate S'More Cupcakes!
I hope she likes them!

After all of that, my DH took me to the movies to see One For The Money, since I've real ALL the books! Love that stinking story! ha ha ha Too funny.  It was OK, not great, totally more of a Chick Flick, but bless him for laughing at the funny parts! ha haha

OK, time to finish my chores and take my kiddo to swim class.  See you all tomorrow!

Growing in Unity Day 1

Hello there Unity Crafters!!!!! Today marks my very first day in the Growing in Unity event.  Today I'm featuring a card that I made using the set {Jar Full of} Sweetness.  Those of you who know me, know that I'm completely addicted to apothecary jars and have lots of them filled with all sorts of candies on my countertop.  I adore them and i'll never stop collecting them.  So, when I saw this set, I knew I HAD TO HAVE it straight away!
I'm very new to making shaker cards but I thought it would be perfect to have the little sequins I purchased from Firefly Crafts inside the jars to make it look like little candies in there!

I also used a few of the flowers I purchased from Firefly Crafts as well, they are made by Wild Orchid and they are absolutely perfect!

I hope you enjoyed this card today and it inspired you to make something crafty! Surf the Unity site and find a cute stamp and get with it! he he he! See you all tomorrow!
Have a Crafty Day!

Purrrrrrring for day 2 of peeks!

Welcome to Day TWO of the January Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
Today we have a second stamp set from artist Cheryl Grant and I think you'll agree...it's purr-fect!  ;)
It's called PRETTY KITTIES! This sweet new set features little girl Lexi and a trio of her adorable fluffy friends!!! It features one large main image plus SEVEN coordinating sentiments!
You will see today's set in action as you hop around the Krafty blogs! You'll see the list below and be sure to leave some love at each stop because one lucky commenter is going to WIN a gift voucher to the krafty shop! But first.... here's my creation:  My card recipe is this: I used Kraft yardstick as my base, and some DSP from Stampin' Up in Raspberry.  All of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Enamel Dots are from Recollections.  I used a massive amount of Copics, here they are: Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, E04 and R20 Hair: E25, E15, E13, Y17, Y15, and Y21 Kittens from left to right:  K…

Getting Nerdy!

Good morning crafty people!
Today I've made a card using a stamp I purchased from Quick Creations! Seriously LOVE that store, I could spend so much money there!  It's all online so I don't even have to put on real pants (read: not leggings) to shop, and my coffee stays hot! He he he!
This stamp is called Anya Nerds Out and it's by The Greeting Farm, one of my favorite stamp companies of all time!  I'm like this close to getting a TGF tattoo... for reals! Here's my card:

Copic Colors: Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 Hair: E29, E25, E21 Skirt: G03, YG06, G00 Shirt/Shoes: Y17, Y15, Y13, Y00 Jacket/Legwarmers: RV34, RV63, V01, RV00 Buttons: Recollections Flowers: Recollections Papers: BoBunny, SU!, Cakewalk, XPress It Blending Stock
I'm entering this project into The Greeting Farm FFF Challenge (Spring)  and Quick Creations Challenge (Pastel colors)
