GIU Day 3

Day 3 and I have something "different" as promised.  I made this card because of the sentiment.... I'm always an image type girl, and I love coloring, but sometimes, the sentiment is the best part.  In this case, the sentiment is too sweet (pun intended) not to have it be front and center.  You can find the stamp (set) I used on the Unity site here.  So, here it is......

So, other than my paper cutter and some distress ink in Spun Sugar, I really didn't use many supplies. Most of the papers were from my teeny tiny (cough cough) paper scrap bin, and the bakers twine was from my equally small ribbon bin. Ha ha ha!  The cutout you see on the bottom right is actually from one of the $1 bin stamps, it's the clear part that the little stamp comes on.

Ok, hope you all have an awesome day!  See you all tomorrow!!! Happy crafting!

  1. I'm a girly, girl so I am loving all the pink I'm seeing in your projects. I love coloring (probably why I have such a stamp addiction). But my second love is pretty papers, so I am totally digging this card.

  2. Awesome choice of papers to go along with that sweet sentiment! Fun card with a great mix of patterns and colors. I have this stamp set too!

  3. I like the scraps you used as background to this sentiment. Lovely card. Hugz

  4. Fun and sweet! Love how you incorporated the plastic from the cupcake stamp - genius!

  5. Very sweet way to showcase this sentiment.

  6. I would never have had the idea to use the plastic cover of a stamp : how clever ! Once again, a really great card.

  7. I'm a pink girl, so I am loving all the pink. What a clever idea to use the printed image from a stamp set!!! Super-sweet card and absolutely wonderful sentiment.

  8. So cute with all of the yummy cupcakes. I like your color scheme...

  9. I agree... the sentiment should totally be front & center on this card! Fun Papers make a great card!

Growing in Unity Day 1

Hello there Unity Crafters!!!!! Today marks my very first day in the Growing in Unity event.  Today I'm featuring a card that I made using the set {Jar Full of} Sweetness.  Those of you who know me, know that I'm completely addicted to apothecary jars and have lots of them filled with all sorts of candies on my countertop.  I adore them and i'll never stop collecting them.  So, when I saw this set, I knew I HAD TO HAVE it straight away!
I'm very new to making shaker cards but I thought it would be perfect to have the little sequins I purchased from Firefly Crafts inside the jars to make it look like little candies in there!

I also used a few of the flowers I purchased from Firefly Crafts as well, they are made by Wild Orchid and they are absolutely perfect!

I hope you enjoyed this card today and it inspired you to make something crafty! Surf the Unity site and find a cute stamp and get with it! he he he! See you all tomorrow!
