Winter is coming

Welcome to Day ONE of our November Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
This is our FINAL stamp release for 2017 at KKS, and we've got FIVE fantastic new sets for you!
This month we've got a mixture of holiday, winter and....COFFEE! Because.... well, winter is coming!
Today we have a fun winter wonderland stamp set by artist Annie Rodrigue and it's called WINTER WHITNEY!

This gorgeous clear stamp set features a funny main image featuring a snow shoveller with her freshly made snow-cat! The set also comes with three awesome sentiments!
...and.... here's my creation!  I decided to go with a whimsical color pallet.  I mean, the pinks and blues and lime splashed in there, and who can color up this fun girl without some purple as well?!?!?!  I'm not gunna lie, I sorta want pink hair too! Maybe if my hair ever gets this long again I'll do something crazy like that.
Oh, and P.S., this card is an easel card! Gasp!
Be sure to hop around to the different blog links below as our Krafty design team members and guests have lots of creations to share with you today featuring the WINTER WHITNEY stamp set! Be sure to leave a comment at each stop because one lucky commenter is going to WIN a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop!! Woohooooooooo!

Who's ready for a release?

Oh yeah, it's release week baby!  Fall is in the air (well not really, not in Idaho at least, it's hotter than heck and totally still summer) and it's my favorite season.  I love fall because I get to enjoy the cool mornings and the warm afternoons, I get to drink coffee all day (yeah I know, I do that anyways, hush) and I have a birthday in the fall, and i get to start getting ready for Christmas!  All good things!

This release has all the good stuff about fall and you'll see over the next few days that it's all just too cute!  Here's the very first set... ready?????

Aptly named, this set is called "Happy Fall Y'all" and features a sweet little girl and all of her favorite fall things.

To make this card I started with some distress inks and a dampened sponge. I swirled the sponge on the paper after dabbing it in the ink to make that gradient background.  After letting it dry I used the pumpkin stamp from the set and stamped it all over to make the background.  I used the same sponge to add a little bit of ink to the wooden leaves as well. then I distressed the edges of the paper and glued them all in place. It was quite simple and lots of fun to make.

Well, that's it for day one, I hope that you love this set, I'll catch ya back here tomorrow for some more release week goodness!! Don't forget to hop around to all the the DT and GDT blogs all week because one lucky commenter will receive a sweet prize at the release party on Facebook. Tootles!

Seriously Krafty People, stay tuned, because this weeks is going to be awesome.  Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that I always say that.... but really... this is a fun one! Full of Summertime cuteness! Ok.. first up..... ya ready for this?
This first set is bloomin' beautiful! It's a gorgeous set from artist Annie Rodrigue!
It's called FLOWER GIRLS!
This fun set features two amazing flower girl images with so much awesome detail to colour! And also two coordinating sentiments!
All the Krafty Design Team members and Guests listed below have lots of springy designs to share with you today featuring the FLOWER GIRLS stamp set! Be sure to hop around and leave lots of love at each and every stop because one lucky commenter will WIN a gift voucher to the krafty shop! So, do ya wanna see what I made?  Suer you do, or you wouldn't be here right? He he he! Okie dokie... here it is..... I give you.... FLOWER GIRL #1:
Ok, so I admit that she is challenging to color, with all of those sweet little Hydrangea blooms and the foliage, but it was fun and I drank A LOT (yeah a lot) of coffee while getting this done.  Seriously, once you break it down into pieces it really is a fun one to color! I used a paper from BoBunny and a zillion green Copic markers.  The pinks are all R89,85,83,81 and 06 for a little brightness. I used a different skin combo on this sweet flower girl, I used E000,00,11, and BV20.  It added a but of a darker shadow that I was looking for since she's totally in the leaves and shadowed for sure.

Ok, so don't miss out on the hop, it's important, you wanna win right?  So leave a comment on everyone's blogs and maybe you'll get chosen to win! Woot Woot!  See ya back here tomorrow with more Krafty Goodness!  Tootles!!!!
