Not a card!

When challenges are set forth by companies, especially those with prizes involved, I like to test my hand at them. I'm sure you've all gathered that. This week Kraftin Kimmie Stamps said to make a project that was "anything but a card." Ummmmm... That's what I do, I make cards..... Shoot! What else can I do.... Oh wait!!!! I can bake!!!!
Oh yeah! It's on now!
Today I made cookies! Yum! These cookies are special though, they are adorned with adorable Kraftin Kimmie stamps!

How did I do such a thing? Well, I rolled out fondant and cut it into circles. Then I took black food coloring paste and spread it very thin on a plate. I took my sweet KK stamps and dipped them into the "ink" and onto the fondant very carefully. Next up, "paint!" Well paste food color and a paint brush with a little cup of water. I painted up these little kids and then placed them on the cookies!
There you have it; my "not a card" project! I hope you like it!
Happy Stampin'!

Spring!

Ok, so if you know me at all, you know how totally obsessed I am with Kraftin' Kimmie stamps!  I maybe have said it a time or two. Anyways, this weeks' challenge is to make a card for spring!  So, I did just that!

This cute little image is called Minnie, Maisy, and Me!  It's too adorable and oh so challenging to color! Wow! That petticoat she is wearing required a lot of thought. It was a challenge, but way fun!!

I used Copic sketch markers to color her as follows:
Skin: E000, 00, 11, 21, 04, R22
Hair: YR14,18, E08, 18
Skirt: V01, 04, 09
Shirt: G00, BG45, 49
Bike: B39, 93, 99
Puppy: W9, 7, 5, 3
Puppy: C5, 3, 1
Tires: W9, 7, 5, 3

This also satisfies the sketch challenge they have posted for the month! Woohooo!

Ok, now time to enjoy some of the sunshine we have today! Happy crafting!

Guest DT contest for KK!!!!

Oh my word! I've been a busy bee the past few days! Kraftin Kimmie Stamps has put out a call for a Guest position for her Design Team. To say I am excited is a super huge understatement!!! So I've been busy coloring to toss my hat in the ring and hope I get picked.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers for these lovely ladies and I always color on Xpress It card stock. It really is awesome because it takes so many layers of coloring without bleeding or becoming over saturated.  In my frenzy of coloring I forgot to write down all of my color combos for these! Gasp! My apologies. I'll be making more in the next few days though because I'm going to enter as many times as I can!! (I told you I was excited!)
Happy "Kraftin'" ladies!!!
