More MFP

Ok, one more.... what can I say, I'm on a roll...
The challenge on this one was to use your favorite technique.  I have so many favorites it's kinda hard to choose.  So i went with a few here....
I love ripping paper.... I don't know why, cathartic I guess.... who knows?  This is actually from a roll of wrapping paper that I got in the dollar bin at Target last week!  I'm going to go vintage this Christmas and wrap all my gifts in "newspaper" and red and white bakers twine.  I digress...
Aother of my favorite techniques is using multiple inks on one stamp.  I used my SU! Medallion with Basic Black and Rose Red.
And the last of my favorites here is the distressing of sorts on the gray card stock.  I achieve that by simply rubbing the edges of the paper over the open ink pad.... multiple times and sometimes i press down (like I did here) to get the ink to transfer further onto the paper.  I do this ALL THE TIME!!!!! Seriously, go back through my blog and look at how often I do it... seriously.
Ok, NOW it's time for bed.
Have a sweet day (night).

Case for MFP

Ok, so the challenge over at Marks Finest Papers was to CASE a card, any card! Well that just leaves the world wide open now, doesn't it?!?!?!  So where does a girl go when she needs INKspiration?  PINTEREST!!!!!!!!
Yes, I am an addict, I know!  But it's all in good fun, right? Lol! Here's a card I liked.  I've seen a lot of these Christmas trees, and I imagined they were made by some origami master somewhere and he shipped them to women all over the world to make their Christmas cards with.... BOY I WAS WRONG!  Seriously, this is like the easiest thing to do!!! Just cut a circle in half (I used a 5 1/4" circle) and then zig zag fold it.... really, that's it!
I don't have any texture folders for my big shot, so I used linen textured card stock, the paper is rich razzleberry from SU! the ink is Old olive.  That adorable bakers twine you see is Martha Stuart, and I hoard it... so don't even ask for my roll... hahaha!
ok... Time for Bed I say!
Have a sweet day!

For a friend

Here's a cute little friend card for the marks finest papers challenge. Busy busy today so I have to run... Be back with more soon!

Chalk drawing

Yup, there was a challenge over at marks finest papers to use chalk on your card. So I made a chalk rubbing of their classic pickup truck image and place it on this card. Sorta reminds me of a photo negative. Cool huh?

One more

This one is for the sketch with a twist challenge. We had to use ribbon or string. That's right up my alley. Lol! I used the same stamp set that I just won from marks finest papers, that way I get TWO entries into the drawing! Woot woot! Ok, I have to go make dinner now, play time is over...

A classic

This is the stamp I won a couple of weeks ago from marks finest papers. I just love it! I don't have a lot of masculine stamps so this is perfect.

The challenge this week was back to nature and we had to use an image that has nature in it. With all the trees around this card, and the added flower embellishment, I thought this fit the bill.

See ya all soon.
