New Rubber!!!!!

Happy dance, Happy dance, yeay!!!!!!!! I got new rubber in the mail today! Ok, so I know that just sounds WRONG! But it's true! I ordered this new set from In Style Stamps a while back, and I finally got it in the mail today! It's called Patty Love and it's oh so cute!

Naturally, I told my bestest Pal Lena, right away. She told me to hop on over and do the challenge on the In Style Stamps Blog, so I thought, what the heck, and I did.

Here was their challenge:

And here is my take on it:

In Style said to just use that picture as an inspiration.... and if you know anything about me at all, you'd know that a table full of sweets is right up my alley! So here's cute little Patty Love on her debut from my stampin' desk!

Check back often as I'm sure you will be seeing a lot more of this set!!!!

More Mojo

So here's the Mojo sketch for this week.... I don't know why, but I'm on a cupcake kick....hummmm....
Anyways, Yes, those are toothpicks on this card! Hahaha, she said to be creative if you didn't have those little fashion picks that are all the rage... and I don't, so here's my stab at "being creative." ha ha ha The recipe card is embossed with green glitter and pink ZING! embossing powder, although in the picture it doesn't look so pink.... I assure you, it is pink! ha haha I used SU Pixie Pink and Green Galore for the rest of the images. If this card doesn't make you wanna eat something sweet.... you are just not hungry enough!!!!

365 shape up

Ok, I'd be lying if I didn't say I was entirely pleased with this card... I liked the simplicity of it... But someone told me it was "busy." However, I feel like I need to add something to it.... How perplexing. Anyways, it fits the criteria for 365's Shape up today. A square (green), a diamond (white) and an oval (pink and orange). I think it's cute, it just needs something.... Any suggestions?

Mojo baby (MOJO174)

So the Mojo Monday sketch looks like this:

And here's my take on it.

My son's preschool teacher is having a baby boy, so this card will be a cross between that and a Valentine's Day card all in one! Hahah yeay for multitasking!

Speaking of multitasking, this also qualifies for the 365 challenge of "Happy." Woohoo!!!

It's Super Sketchy Sunday!

And I absolutely LOVE this card! Not to toot my own horn or anything... But I think this is in my top ten of faves!!! A masculine Valentine without pink or red, amazing!!! Ha ha ha

Wisdom

365 is all about words... Sorta hard to do since I don't have a lot of sentiment stamps... But here's my take anyway...

I Beileve...

So the word for 365 was BELIEVE... My sister has a friend that she likes to get lushy with, so I made this card for her to send to her friend. Ha ha. Hope they enjoy it!!!

Mojo Monday, on a Friday!

Thanks again to my Pal, Lena, for helping me find yet another way to procrastinate on housework!!! Love ya Pal! Ha ha ha She introduced me to Mojo Monday, a new sketch every Monday that you have a whole week to complete! Yeay!!! Here's the sketch and my take on
it (x2). The one with the Bear is my official entry into
the Mojo Monday sketch. Wish me luck!

2 challenges in 1!

This card satisfies 2 challenges! Yeay me! hahahah Now, that's efficiency!

Anyways... the first is the scs challenge 315, a sketch challenge.

The second is In style stamps (ISSCC01) a color challenge. Here's their color palette:

And here's my card!

Color Q novice

So here is my very first card for the Color Q site. This is the color palette We had to work with:

And here's my card:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cheeky Cherry!!! She is the cutest stamp ever!!!! And this color palette is just my style! What a fun challenge.
Special thanks to my Pal, Lena (you can check out her blog by clicking here), for turning me on to some new challenge sites!
Thanks a bunch Pal!!!!

Cupcakes galore

So today at 365 the challenge was to create a patterned border on the bottom edge of your card using a paper punch. That narrows things down for me quite a bit being as I only have one border punch... so here's my card....from a few angles:

I hope you all like it! I LOVE this color combo! Teal and chocolate are my fave! See ya all tomorrow!

Basketball baby!!

Ward Digis just came out with a NEW DIGI!!!! WooHoo! It's so fun to be on their DT... so here's my card with the new Image! Just keep this adorable little girl in mind for fun basketball cards you need to make. Weather it's a think you card for a coach (like this one) or a birthday care for an enthusiast, the possibilities are endless for this image! Hop on over to WARD DIGIS and pop her into your cart! She's sooooo cute! ha ha ha

Recipe Card

Not the first thing I think of when I read "recipe card" but oh well... I digress... here's my card for 365 today. The recipe was:

4.25 by 5.5 inch card

a stamp

a sentiment

a pearl or gem

and fringe

Hard huh? Well... here's what I came up with:
So the card is the right size (that's pretty standard), and the stamp is obvious. It's called "sisterhood" and it's a Penny Black stamp. The Sentiment is right there for all to see... the pearl is in the girl's hair bow, and the fringe.... well... I made my own by cutting the bottom off of a strip of ribbon and then fraying it out... it's on the girls sleeve and the bottom of her dress... I think I got everything.... I think I need some of Pam's "special" blend of coffee... I'm grasping at straws here! ha ha ha To all a good day!!!

Elegance

Yeah, so, at 365 cards today they want us to make an "elegant card." Really??? Seriously??? Elegance is NOT my forte! hahaha That's for sure. Here's my stab at it:

This was quite a challenge Pam.... thanks for keeping me hoppin!

Kiss the Cook

Ok, so it's Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 cards... and since there was nothing in the newspaper ads worth going shopping for,.... I decided to make a card. Here's a pic of the sketch:

Being the Sketch Rebel that I am... (oh and the fact that I don't have an oval cutter) I decided to make this one my own. I used the general lay out principals (because that's what's required of a sketch) but I went a little more geometric with it. Here's my take:

Ok, Ok, Ok.. So I don't always follow the rules... but I'm close... RIGHT???
Hope you all had a great weekend!

A Day of Romance

Over at 365 cards today Pam told us to make a "romantic" card. Now, with the incoming holiday I thought, "Piece of cake!" Boy oh boy was I wrong. Upon examining my stamp collection (which has grown extensively over the past year thanks to my Pal Lena) I have next to nothing that even implies romance. I have a few cute little digis... but they are "kids" and that does not say romance to me (since I have a 4 year old, kids are more stress and chaos than they are romantic!! ha ha ha). So I sat here at my desk and scratched my head for a while... then I picked up my medallion and went to work... I love the outcome here.... I don't know how "romantic" this card is... but it could be misinterpreted that way.... and at 8 am on a Saturday.... that's good enough for me! ha ha ha Thanks for the challenge Pam! Now I really need more coffee!!!!! hahahaha

Even my cup is cold today...

So I made it a cup cozy! Thanks Lena for the idea!!

Tea Bag Folding

So, after many (many) months of absence from participating in 365 cards.... I decided to give it a whorl again,..... Today was a Tea Bag Fold challenge.... hummm..... Never done that one before. But the house is quiet and I have some time on my hands, so I decided "what the heck?" So here it goes:

I like the soft colors... I will totally use this technique again! Thanks Pam for broadening my horizons!!!
