Catching up with TGF

Color me totally behind with my card making, so here's 2 in one day to try and catch up. First off i have little tank here from TGF in PINK!! hahaha I love the card we had to use for the inspiration on this WOW challenge.... but the card was pink< and I really wanted to o something different with pink... i mean, it doesn't always have to be so stinking girly right???? Anyways the sentiment on the inspiration card was "From me to you." So I CASEd that as well....

And now for the second card:

The challenge here was to make a black and white card with a splash of one color.... i think i got a bit carried away on the "splash." But I had a lot of fun using ever single teal-ish thing that I could get my hands on... paper, ribbon, flowers, prismacolor pencils, oh my!!!

OK, lots to do today..... see ya all soon!

Blame it on the Al al al al co alcohol!

So, the challenge for the month of June at the Stamping Bella Forum is “Citrus.” When I thought of citrus, I thought os maybe a beverage or two! Ha ha ha Here’s a close-up of my Bella:052

Since I got my new Prismacolor pencils I have been a coloring fool! Ha ha ha, well, I’m trying to learn the proper technique to coloring like all of the wonderfully talented stampers I see out there. I said TRYING! ha ha ha Failing, perhaps, but at least I’m putting myself out there. anyway, it’s hard to color with a bum wrist too, so that’s my current excuse.

051I just located these stickers today, they are Mrs. Grossman stickers that I have had for eons! And for those of you who know me all too well, my signature flower is on my card!!! But wait, gasp! Something’s missing!!!!!!

053I know, I know, I know!!! RIBBON!!! can you believe that I actually made a card without some sort of ribbon on it?!?!?! I know, something MUST be wrong with me!!! Ha ha ha Perhaps it was my run this morning, 3 miles and my brain shuts down and I no longer have the ability to add the perfect ribbon to my card. Perhaps if I do 4 miles I may leave off the flower too… but that’s pushing it!!! I’m thinking I need to get working on the “To Do” list inside this card before I could ever leave off the flowers… but who knows…. ho hum…

054

Here’s the inside of the card. (obviously) and of course it’s adorned with more beverages and citrus slices. All in all, I’m thinking this is a pretty cute card…. now I just need to figure out a recipient…. oh well, another one for the “maybe I’ll send it to SOMEONE, SOMEDAY…..” box. That particular box is getting pretty full. Ha ha ha!

Well, Bellas, I’ll be seein’ ya ‘round! Enjoy the sunny day and perhaps a nice cold Bella Beverage (or Chick Drink as it were). TTFN

Patriotic sketching

OK, so since I'm so behind on my card challenges I decided to combine 2 at the same time! Over at The Greeting Farm They have a Sketch challenge and then the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to make a 4th of July inspired card. So I took the two and put them into one. The 4th of July means BBQ and family and hanging out on the porch all night watching the fireworks over the Boise Valley.... it's amazing!!! so here's my card/invitation to give to my parents and invite them to the annual family festivities!

i live the little ant stickers that I found buried deep in the sticker bin that has been neglected for way too long! hahahaha i used Cheekie Rockabilly, who i believe is the current title holder of "the most overused stamp in my collection!" Yeay!!!

TGF and 365; it's a Royaly Peachy Day!

Here’s my latest card: princess closeup

I think that I’m beginning to understand how to use the Prismacolor Pencils, they are a blast and there’s so much control with them. I do like the versafine ones that I purchased, and think that I may have to get some supplemental colors…. hummm.. maybe for my birthday.

princessI used 13 flowers on this card!!!! I am trying to follow the trend that seems to be emerging in the card world of using seven bazillion flowers on a single card! ha ha ha I’m telling ya, it’s crazy, I mean how do you mail those cards?!?!?! Anyways… here’s the inside as well:

Princess inside

I just LOVE how this turned out!!! The sentiment says, “Princess You’re Fabulous.” Indeed she is!

This card satisfies two challenges today. First The Greeting Farm is doing a “Royal” challenge that has been running for 4 weeks! I’m hoping that this card is “Royal” enough to make it to the final 4!!! Second, 365 cards requested we use the color peach today. as you can see, there’s a lot of peach on here, her dress, the princess tag, the ribbon, and the inside background are all Peachy hues.

Check back soon for more cards! I’m off to go to a Stampin’ up! party this evening.

Rogue Royalty

Here's my card for the sketch by Jessica at TGF. I can't type much because me wrist is hurting super bad, but I wanted to post this so that I can get it entered in the contest. See all the deets at www.thegreetingfarm.com

Bella BABE

Ok, so here's a card of firsts for me... My first card for stamping Bella forum challenge, and my FIRST TIME USING PRISMA COLOR PENCILS!!!

The challenge was called "BABE." To use Bella and Bring on the Embellishments.

With ribbons, buttons, brads and a chipboard cut out, I think I got that covered! OK, I'm starving now, so I'm going to go eat something, maybe it's just looking at this super skinny Bella that makes me so hungry. hummm.... One may never know. Ha ha ha

A couple of cards

I have two cards for ya today! The first is a card for the Greeting Farm and 365 card challenge. We were told by both places to use these pictures as inspiration for our cards:

OK, so the black and white theme is readily evident here, so that's what I went with. I LOVE making black and white cards for some reason, so here's my take on the inspiration challenges.

The sentiment says, "A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms, when his hands are empty."

This reminded me of my Dad to a "T." so I decided to make this into a father's day card for him. Ask anyone who knows me and they know that I'm totally addicted to TGF stamps! They are my fave... if my house was burning down and I had to go in and save one thing.... I'd have a super duper hard time getting into my craft room/ office to grab my basket of TGF stamps! ha ha ha (OK, maybe that's a bit extreme, but really, I'd mourn the melted rubber, it would be so sad!) Anyways, I decided to try something a little bit different, I stamped the image of this little cheekie cheerie girl on card stock and then crumpled her up (man, that was difficult in and of itself) a few times. Then I flattened her out and distressed the edges with black ink. I like the effect that came from it. I'm going to have to try this again in a few different ways.

On to the next card!

The next was from the drunkenstampers blog and the sketch at 365 cards.... I know, for some reason lately I'm all about combining challenges. Ha ha ha OK, so here's the 365 sketch:

The challenge from the drunken stampers was to use the color ORANGE!!! I can do that! So here's my hybrid card:

OK, so I know the sentiment is not big enough to read, but it's a little poem about the place for a dad is in your heart. It's a cute little sentimental thing that would make any dad feel special.

That's all I have for today! I FINALLY got some prisma colored pencils so I'm off to get a "really good pencil sharpener" so that Lena can teach me how to use them! I'm looking forward to my tutorial with my bestest Pal!

a birthday card for me?

My cousin told me that I needed to do a challenge with her, to make a birthday card that I would send to myself... hahah sounds easy... but really... after making cards for a while... there are soooo many things that I would use, that it was hard to narrow it down. I went for my egyptian stamps first, but then i thought, I'd want something a little more fun... so rockabilly; here I come! hahaha Lena just sent me a bunch of fun papers, so I used like 4 of them, and here's what I came up with. this also fits the sketch for the deconstructed sketch challenge.

Tgf and 365 and a new drinking challenge!

I am soooo far behind on TGF challenges... so I did a couple last night and combined them with other challenges, because multitasking is IMPORTANT sometimes!! ha ha ha

Here's the first...

So, the 365 challenge was to use 13 of something... i used 13 pop dots! ha ha ha and then the number 13 of course! Over on the farm we needed to make a monochromatic card. I used all shades of blue, although in the color on the boy seems a bit green in the photo. anyways, I love how this card came out.... its fun, it's funky, it's dark, yet cheery.... yeay for CC kids!!

The next card was to be a birthday card from the drunken stampers blog (www.drunkenstampers.wordpress.com) and on the farm we were supposed to case this card: So... here's my take on it... I loved the layout, and I ADORE polka dots!!!! They are my fave!!! So, any time I get to use them... I'm on it! hahahaa so, here's my card!

OK, I need to go add these to the galleries, I hope that you all have a wonderful, rainy, day!
