SO, let's get down to the good stuff shall we?  The theme this week is.... Distress Inks!  Since I've just been getting my feet wet with the distress ink thing, I thought this would be a super fun challenge to join in on!  Here's my creation:
I used black soot distress ink and a sponge to get the cloud effect in the background of little miss Witchy-Poo here. I colored her up with my Copics and cut her out using a stitched circle die from Gina Marie Designs. I even added a few glittery Nuvo Drops! Oh so fancy!

Well, I hop to see you joining on the fun this week!  Post your awesome creations so we can all see!  Have a wonderful weekend!  Tootles!

Saturday challenges are themed challenges, and the theme this week is: RAINBOW COLORS! So, pull out any stamp you like and all the colors of the rainbow and get inky! Woohoo!!!! Here's the card I created using Whimsical Gnomes.
I colored her up on Ex-Press it Coloring stock with my Copic markers, and then fussy cut her by hand with my Cutter Bee scissors. The DSP are both 6x6" from Echo Park pads. The enamel dots are from Doodlebug and the twine is from Michael's.  I used Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and I sponge from Su! to distress the edges of the papers. I hope you like it.

Nerds are BACK!

Ok, ok, ok... those of you who know me well know that I'm a total nerd.  When it comes to a lot of things I completely Nerd out.  But, even in school I was a complete nerd.  I did the homework of most of our high school class over the weekend because they were all out partying and i was cracking the books.  Seriously, I loved it... I knew that I was good at it, so I enjoyed doing it.  Writing papers and solving math equations, learning a new language, it was all just fascinating to me.  So, when Kimmie posted that the Nerd set was coming back, I squealed with delight!

Ok, let's get with it... I figured that you all wanted to see another of the Cheryl Grant girls out for a Sunday ride in the park... whaddya say?  Here it goes:
Isn't Lexi just the cutest?!?!?! EEEEKKKKK!!!! I just adore her!
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the grasses that I put at the bottom and the oval die is from Gina Marie Dies.  The clouds were in an envelope that my sweet cousin Lena sent to me, and the paper has been with me for years (no really, like 10 wish years or so.... yeah... shhhh I'm a paper hoarder, don't tell anyone!).  This is what's in the stamp set:

Ok, so don't forget to hop along with the Krafty Krew and guests today and leave a little love on each blog.  Then, join us on Sunday for the LIVE online release party in the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and Friends Facebook Group!  The party starts Sunday (that's today) the 11th at 7 pm Eastern time! Be there or be square!

Be a square!

Good morning Krafty people!!!! I'm here today sharing with you a Square card!  Yeah, I rarely make square cards.... I don't know why... I mean, I have NOTHING against the shape.... I just get stuck doing my 5x7 cards.  It's muscle memory.  I sit at my desk, I cut a 5x7 card base, I pick papers, I find an image, I color..... it's comfortable, it's habit, and I LIKE IT! HA HA HA!

So when I saw the challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, I decided to "do something different" and stop being a "square" by making just that; a square card!  The challenge this week is to make a square card, in case I hadn't said that enough, and you can click here to find the details.

On the top of my paper bin has been this orange piece of paper that is covered in cute old cameras!  I love it and I can just never bring myself to use it... that was going to end today! I also knew that SOMEWHERE in my stash of charms I had this little camera that would go perfect.  Which led me to the "Oh, Snap!" set by KKS! (Unfortunately it's not available for purchase any longer.)  I just adore this set and I had so much fun coloring it!

...and here's the inside!

To color the image I seriously used 45 Copic markers! Yeah, that shocked even me.  But it was fun and I had coffee, so I kept going.

I hope that you join in with the Krafty Girls at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and make a square card. There is a prize for the winner! Prizes are always good!!!
I have enjoyed being a Krafty Guest Designer this month and I have some super duper exciting news!!!!!! I got asked to be a guest designer again in February!  I'm soooooo excited!  So stay tuned for more KKS! He he he!

Have a Krafty Day!
