Ok, so with our further adieu.... the challenge this week is... SNOW!!!! Let me tell you how stinking cold it is outside right now!  It FEELS like snow, that's for sure!  I'm loving the evenings by the fire, coloring and watching movies with my family.  So this little guy is right in my wheelhouse right now! 

I can't even tell you how much I've used this set this winter.  It's called Shake it up- Polar Bears, and I'm pretty sure I'm earring it out! I just love coloring these little cubs and the looks on their faces are so curious and cute.  I simply added some distress oxide ink and a few sequins to make this very simple card! Eeeekkkk! I adore these polar bears!  Ok, back to business....

I actually used PENCILS to color this little guy! Eeeekkkkk! I'm so excited.  I used the Faber-Castell Polychromo pencils and I think I fell in love.  I know that this is just the beginning of something fun and new for me, so I hope that you are loving him too!

A little Magic

Well, I know that Halloween is over, but it's Saturday and the challenge is Magic, and I had some of these papers still on my desk, so I decided to put them to use... Here is my "Magical" card.

I used the adorable "Teacup Fairy"  and I actually paper pieced the cup using some Doodlebug paper! The spoon is from Tim Holtz and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Sp, without further adieu, here's my Fall colors. 

One of my sweetest friends asked me to make a card to congratulate her brother on getting engaged! She sent me a photo of the couple and I modified the stamped image (Let's Celebrate) a tad to fit the subjects.  He is well known for his super full goatee and she has amazingly beautiful chocolate colored hair.  I had a lot of fun color these two up and dressing them in soft fall colors for their engagement.

Saturday Challenge

So it's saturday morning and the challenge from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is to make a holiday card.  This can be ANY holiday... just whatever you want it to be......

Well, you all know me and you know who I like to make things different... soooooo....... I took little miss Devilish Deborah here....

...and I made her into a CHRISTMAS CARD!  Yup I did! 

She's all dressed up in her holiday best and she's ready to come to that Christmas Party! I hope that you like what I did here and I hope that it inspires you to use your stamps in all sorts of fun ways!  Enjoy!

SO, let's get down to the good stuff shall we?  The theme this week is.... Distress Inks!  Since I've just been getting my feet wet with the distress ink thing, I thought this would be a super fun challenge to join in on!  Here's my creation:

I used black soot distress ink and a sponge to get the cloud effect in the background of little miss Witchy-Poo here. I colored her up with my Copics and cut her out using a stitched circle die from Gina Marie Designs. I even added a few glittery Nuvo Drops! Oh so fancy!

Rainbow Gnomie

Saturday challenges are themed challenges, and the theme this week is: RAINBOW COLORS! So, pull out any stamp you like and all the colors of the rainbow and get inky! Woohoo!!!! Here's the card I created using Whimsical Gnomes. 

I colored her up on Ex-Press it Coloring stock with my Copic markers, and then fussy cut her by hand with my Cutter Bee scissors. The DSP are both 6x6" from Echo Park pads. The enamel dots are from Doodlebug and the twine is from Michael's.  I used Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and I sponge from Su! to distress the edges of the papers. I hope you like it.

Use a what?!?!?!!?

Ok, we all know that Saturday Challenges at KKS mean a "themed challenge." It's fun, it gets you creative, makes ya think...... but when I read that I had to "use a doily" on my card I thought, "what the heck?!?!?"

Ok, so I scoured my house, craft stashes, asked a few friends, went to the craft store (twice) (both times I got a lot of other things, then got home and realized that I forgot to look for doilies) and still had no doilies.  What the heck is a girl to do?  OOOOHHHHHH!!! IDEA!!!!!

Ya see what I did there? I used my Cricut machine to cut a "doily" into a piece of acitate! Oh yeah! I colored up Alice in Wonderland all Halloween style and fussy cut her, because I'm pretty sure that fussy cutting is my new form of therapy. 

Ok, so I was a little bit of a rebel yet again, I'm sure that doesn't surprise any of you at all. But I couldn't find a real doily and this was a creative way to still be able to play along.  I hope that you can use this as inspiration and play along in the challenge with us this week!  Have a great weekend... Just Chillin' with my Gnomies

Ok, it's Saturday, and that means a themed challenge at KKS, this week's theme??????? A SHAPED CARD!!! Gasp!
Oh the horror! I SUCK at shaped cards... I mean, square is a shape right? How about a rectangle? Well crap..... what am I supposed to do???? Why, God, WHYYYYYY?????
I did what any self respecting crafter would do in this horrible predicament..... I grabbed a cup of coffee and went straight to Pinterest.... after deciding on a workout routine, that I was going to eat only healthy food, I was re-doing my laundry room, oh and that dessert is totally happening.... oh yeah, a shaped card.... sigh..... searching, searching...... WOAH! Call off the Dogs, the search is over!

Behold....... a "shaped" card:

Yeah, yeh, yaaaahhhh.... I know, it's not really a shaped card.... but I'm going to say that this qualifies! I mean, come on! I used the incredibly cute Whimsical Gnomes set and colored them all in with my Copic markers of course. The papers are all from Doodlebug, and the felt trees are from recollections.

Sequin Saturday!

HAPPY SATURDAY KRAFTY PEOPLE!!!!! What's crackin'?

Well we all know that Saturdays equal new challenges over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps... this one isn't any different! DUHHHhhhhh!!!! hehehehe As I'm sure you can guess from the title of this post the challenge this time is "Sequins!" So here's the details.... use sequins yo! No, really, that's it.... you can use them however you want, be they real, or drawn or implied.... whatever's clever!

Here's what I did..... I happened to do a live color along in the Kraftin Kimmie Friends FB group last week, and I wan't sure what to do with the image once i colored it... so I made it into a shaker card and used Sequins as the "shaker" part...... check it out.....

I used some DSP from like eons ago, and it's got velvet swirls on it.... super cool!  The ribbons are again from my friend Leah in Canada! The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts and the sequins are from Cartwright.  The image I used is Carly Cupcakes from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and I just stinking adore her!

Red, white and blue!

Happy Saturday!!!!!  It's also time to celebrate the 4th of July if you live in the USA.  I'm not one for fireworks and all of that stuff, but I'm always ok with a long weekend and time with my family, and by family I mean all the cute Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps images that I have.  They all have names and faces, they are just like family to me.

Today the challenge is Red, White, and Blue! I used the sweet little set called "You're Nifty" and I think little Bobby here is out on a date with little sally to celebrate the 4th of July, what do you think?

Circular Saturday Challenge!

Ahhhhhhhhhh..... Saturday....... I love Saturday..... well.. sorta. He he he!  I Love Saturday Challenges though!!!! I love how they give you an idea of what to do, but then leave you so much room to get Krafty!  This Saturday is no different..... the theme for this challenge is..... CIRCLES!

Ok so Kraftin Kimmie stamps has like the largest array of stamping goodness.... chubby girls, skinny girls, princesses, teenagers...... literally if you can't find a stamp for your card at KKS, you're not looking hard enough! he he he!  Seriously though, I figured since yesterday was all about eating cupcakes (did you see yesterday's Krafty Comeback? It's called Let Them Eat Cupcakes!) today should probably have something to counteract all of that sugar! he he he... so Here's my take on the Saturday Challenge theme of Circles.

Ok, so, I used a die from Gina Marie dies, I used one of the girls from the "Smart A Bit Assy 2" set.  I colored her up on my Copic paper with a bunch of bright colors.  The yardstick is all Recollections brand from Michael's. The pop dots are matte finish from Doodlebug. Man I had a blast coloring this girl! I just adore her! Those leg warmers though!!!!!! He he he! She's AWESOME!

This Saturday the theme is..... MERMAIDS!!!!! Here's my Krafty Creation:

I chose to use the lovely Florence Finbottom  to satisfy this mermaid challenge.  I also found this poem via google about a mermaid and thought it was just lovely.  So I added as the sentiment and away I went!  I cut the seaweed out of patterned paper in various sizes on my circuit machine and then layered it with greens from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love the way this turned out.

What's Kraken?!?!

Hi everyone! Welcome to another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! The challenge this week is to use Pink, Orange and Green!!!!! Naturally when I saw a color scheme challenge you all knew I'd jump at the chance.... I LOVE color challenges! 

I sat to work almost immediately.... well,....  I colored up little miss Sandy Seawater here and went.... hum......... so I left her on my desk for a few days.  I really didn't know what to do with her... I picked her up a few times... but then sat her back down... my Mojo had sunk.  What to do what to do????? Then my cousin texted me while I was sitting at my desk... she said.... "Hi Pal, what's crackin'?" Then it hit me!!!!!!  Behold.... Sandy and her Kraken!!!!! 

Full disclosure is that I JUST became the proud new parent of a Cricut Explore.... so... I used it to cut the Kraken tentacles and ocean waves.  Then I tied on some coordinating ribbons and boom!!!!! My very first pop up card was complete! I just love how this turned out! Now, it's YOUR turn.  I can't wait to see what you all make!

The challenge today is..... BUTTONS!!!!! So sift through your stash, or go find an old shirt and pop them off... or even check he hem if your trousers for a spare... but find a button somewhere and get to Krafting!  Here's my Kreation for buttons challenge! 

I grabbed a pre-fab bookmark from the pile I have leftover from an old project Evan and I had done last summer.  Then I stamped this precious little bear (from the Buddy Bears set by Emilie Goulet) on it and went to town coloring with my Copic markers. Since this isn't the highest quality paper I had to color fast so that I could blend and be super careful not to oversaturate the paper.  Here's the colors that I used: 

Pillow: C3,1,0 and the colorless blender. 

Bear: E39,37,35,33,31

Nose: R20,22

Then I grabbed my trusty craft glue and my mason jar full of buttons, I found a length of white satin ribbon and I cut into pieces.  I attached the bookmark to a piece of Kraft paper, then I glued on the ribbons and trimmed them, then I glued on the buttons and let it all dry.  Now I have an adorable little bookmark to keep my spot while I'm away (making my coffee)!  Hooray!

Saturdays bring us "Themed challenges" and I love me some themed challenges! They are so open, but give me just that tiny amount of guidance so I know what direction to go in. The theme this Saturday is.... you've guessed it.... FLOWERS!!! So, glue them, color them, draw them, whatever you think will work for you, but show us some FLOWERS!!!! Here's my card for you to see:

I used Miss Floatin' Fiona, who is not particularly a "floral" type stamp. But I wanted to show you all that you can use ANYTHING for the flowers challenge.  I colored her up on a FB LIVE video for you all (well I colored her hair and eyes and skin on the live video), then cut her out with an oval die from Gina Marie.  I added some Doodlebug paper (from the we are mermaids 6x6 paper pad) and 7 bazillion flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I finished it off with a few enamel dots from Echo Park and a couple of seashell shaped buttons (you can't really see them as they are sorta under the flower petals, but trust me, they are there).  I really hope you like it! So BRIGHT and fun!

Yellow-ish!!!

This week's challenge is "yellowish!"  Yeah, so, i'm not that great at using yellows.... but hey, that's why they call it a challenge! He he he ..... remember that LIVE color along I did during the Krafty Krop weekend? Well... I put that Image to use here..... I give you the "yellow-ish" Make a Splash! 

The paper is from BoBunny, the ribbon was sent to my by my friend Leah, and the solid color card stock is from recollections.  I colored this up with my Copic markers:

Skin: E000,00,21,11,04, R20

Raincoat and boots: Y17,15,13,00

Petticoat: R89,85,81, 0

Hair: BV29, E59, 37, 25, 33

...and ont he puddle I used like 7 different colors of blue and I honestly don't remember which ones, there were a few BG's as well.  I also used a wink of stella pen to add a little sparkle. The over die is from Gina Marie.

So here's my take on the cloud challenge..... ready???? 

This set is called "Make a Splash!" and is one of my absolute favorites of all time!  Coloring all of those petticoat layers is so much fun.  It gives me plenty of time to just check out and color.... I love it!  I used R85, 83 and 81 to color them.  The yellows were Y17,15,13,10, and 00, her hair is BC59, E37, 25 and 33.  I used like 5 colors on the water along with two different wink of stella pens to get that shimmer. The papers are from Doodlebug of course and the pop dots are Echo Park Summertime. The dies I used are from Gina Marie.

Okie dokie.... with all of that business out of the way..... the challenge this week is "Things with Wings!"  I thought to myself that this would be a super fun challenge and immediately went for one of my fairy stamps..... you, YOU KNOW ME TOO WELL FOR THAT!!!!!!!  So, I promptly put Rosie fairy back in her place and I tapped my fingers on my desk thinking.... thinking... thinking..... well, I guess it's time to put away the stamps from this months' release..... and we all know that my OCD demands that I alphabetize my stamps... so as I was labeling them... I noticed that the new Hoppy Friends happens to have some sweet little birdies in it.... and birds have wings!!!! OMG I need a cup of coffee and I need to get coloring..... coffee, ohhhh ANGIE!!!!!!! ......and then a card was born.... well the idea for one.... here's how It came out. 

I went with a St. Patty's day theme here as well and I made it into a shaker card.... because, well, yeah, why not?!?!?!? I used Angie, Hoppy Friends, and the sentiment is from the new Tweetie Birds set.
