Masked Cutie

Remember how I said there are a lot fo cute and FREE digit out there right now?  Well, THIS is one of them!  This sweet girl is from Stamp Anniething and she has a few friends that are FREE as well.

I don't often color blondes because I feel like you lose so much depth in the hair with the lighter colors, but I REALLY wanted this girl to be a blondie!

I pulled out a paper pad from Authentique that I had not used yet and found these adorable papers in it.  The paper pad is a 6x6" that's named "Meadow."  The tiny cocoa clocks are just wayyyyy tooooo cute!!!  Anyways, then I added a bunch of mulberry paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a tiny satin ribbon.  I also added soft pink Nuvo drops because..... well, because I find it difficult to call a card finished if it doesn't have Nuvo drops on it ok? Don't you judge me! Ha haha!

I hope all of you are staying safe and I hope that you are finding some peace and crafting a bunch during this difficult time.  This too shall pass.

I'm off to get my favorite coping mechanism.... coffee!!!! See you all soon! Toodles!!!

A day at the beach

Hey Oddies and Sweeties!  I'm here today with another card featuring an incredible digital image from Some Odd Girl!   Ok, so I'm actually not a HUGE mermaid fan.  I LIKE them, but it's not a big  "OMG it's a mermaid I MUST have it or I will surely die," type scenario.  With that being said, Kristy has some of the absolute cutest mermaids out there.  The one I'm sharing with you today is one of my favorites! Here she is:

She's rightfully named "Mermaid Queen" given that she is wearing a crown and a lot of other jewelry. Lol! I just picked up a piece of Sweet Sentiment Coloring paper and went to town with my Copic markers!  I love orange and rarely see it used in cards, so I decided to use it as a focal point for her tail.  Man, I'm sure glad I did, because I totally love how it came out. I used a combination of Nuvo Drops and Stickles and a paint brush to make the ocean foam, added a bunch of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia, I stuck on some enamel dots from Doodlebug design.  Boom! Done! The papers are from First Edition and Graphic 45.

Well, as much as I wish I was at the beach hanging out with mermaid royalty, I'm still in Idaho, and it's January and cold.... so I'm going to go make a cup of coffee!  See you all soon my friends, Toodles!

A sweet little Unicorn

Hello there Bloggie Buddies! Today I'm going to share with you another project I've done for Kinda Cute By Patricia Alvarez.   I chose to use the little Unicorn with Cotton candy image. I mean, once you see this little Unicorn, you'll know why I couldn't resist.
I printed this image (because it's a Digi) onto Catherine Pooler 80 lb. bright white card stock.  I then colored the image with my Copic Markers.

Body: C3, C1, C0, 0
Hair: YG67, YG09, YG17, YG25, FYG1
Cotton Candy: RV17, RV04, RV02, RV10
Hooves: C7, C5, C3
Horn: Y11, Y00, Y000
Jelly Roll Clear Glitter Pen

The ribbon is from my massive stash and I cannot tell you what it is.  I can tell you it was a gift to me from Leah Tees! So, it is a ribbon from Canada if that helps at all.  That massive amount of flowers mostly come from Wild Orchid Crafts, but some are from Prima Crafts as well.
The stitched oval is from Gina Marie Designs and was cut from good old fashioned 65 lb white card stock, I then used three colors of Distress Oxide inks to create a gradient.  Festive Berries is the darkest color, then Spun Sugar for the mid tone, and Worn Lipstick for the lightest color.  After using a sponge to smooth the ink onto the card stock and then used the Ranger Distress Ink Sprayer to create the water droplets and a tissue to blot off the excess water and ink. I adhered that to the card and then used foam squares to pop that little unicorn up from the background and give it a bit of dimension.
I picked a bunch of flowers out and used Nuvo glue to adhere them to the card base after tying the ribbon and fussing with it for about 15 minutes.   All in all, it was a fairly simple card.  I had a lot of fun making it, but I always have a lot of fun coloring and gluing flowers to things! Lol!

Ok, so I'm off to get some more coffee and color some more things! Hope you all have a wonderful month of March! Tootles!
