Why be ordinary….

When you can be Legendary!

Can we talk about how awesome the new Legendary Stamp Set from the new June Release is? This Sasquatch is so lovable and fun! I mean how can you not love a Yeti that enjoys hot coffee (or hot cocoa for all you weirdos out there). You’re going to fall in love with this fuzzy guy and find that he is a super fun and versatile character for a variety of cards and projects.

Well I am off to go play an awesome game of hide and seek with the world champion… sort of… I’m going to try to find my long lost coffee cup! Toodles!

MerMay Mondays!

Try saying that 5 times fast!

To continue celebrating MerMay we thought it would be fun to showcase some of our awesome design team members projects using the new You are Magical stamp set. I can’t wait to show you how adaptable this stamp set is. These projects are so incredibly different that your mind is going to be blown!

To kick off our first week of MerMay Mondays I wanted to showcase two stunning cards made by Sandy and Meghan. I felt this truly showed how versatile this stamp set truly can be.

Anyone up for cake?

I know, silly question huh? We all want birthday cake, the kind that doesn't find it's way directly to your hips! I'm here today with another project to hopefully inspire you.... to stamp, not to eat cake.... well, maybe BOTH! I mean, I wouldn't say no to cake!

I began by stamping the awesome new "Celebrate with cake" stamp from TRHD on a scrap of Sweet Sentiment coloring paper. I colored it with my copic markers in fun teals and pinks. Then I used some Nuvo drops to created that clear yellow glittery icing. .... then it was time to get to work.

I used an A2 size piece of Sweet Sentiment paper and pretty much all of my T, C and W Copic markers to create this little kitchen background. I used R83, R81, and RV10 to create the little canisters on the counter, and a silver pen to draw in the hardware on everything. Then I then cut a bajillion layers of pinks and grays to mount the background to and used Distress Oxide inks to "distress" the edges. Then, I drank coffee.... no seriously, because I wanted something else but I didn't know what to do, then it totally hit me! I grabbed my entire bin of flowers and found these tiny roses. I grabbed 6 of them and wrapped them in a square of... wait for it.... brown packing paper! lol! Yup, it was the perfect consistency and thickness to wrap the flowers in and tied them with a little bakers twine bow. Then I used foam squares to give the cake a little pop off the page and stamped a sentiment from "Sassy Birthday" onto a scrap of paper. I adhered that to the card and BOOM! Done! Now I can finish my cup of coffee...... mmmmmm.......

I know that was kinda wordy, but you all know how I am, so you're used to it by now. I'm off to make another cup of coffee and see if there's any cake in this house.... there isn't, but a girl can dream. Toodles!

January Color Challenge is LIVE

Who's up for a color challenge? I'll be posting a new color challenge every month on the first day of that month. I'm excited because I LOVE color challenges! This one is no exception, it's awesome!

These beautiful pinks and grays just spoke to me, not to mention those amazing paper flowers in the photo! Wow! I just love them!

I had a hard time choosing an image for the project I wanted to make using this color palette. I wanted to inspire you all to want to play along, but I also really wanted to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone and do something that was a little intimidating to me. Then it hit me!!!!!

Copic markers used:

Tail: R83, RV32, R32, RV23, RV21, RV10

Skin: E15, E11, E21, E00, E000

Hair: C8, C6, C4, C2, C0

Barrel: N6, N4, N2, N0, W6, W4, W2

Background: C, N, W, and T series markers and RV10 along with 0 Colorless Blender

I just ADORE this image from Some Odd Girl called "Mermaid Bath." In all honesty, I couldn't be happier with the way this turned out. I added a bit of white jelly roll pen to the snowcaps on the mountains and a glitter jelly roll pen to the mermaid's tail. I mean, she HAS to be glittery right???

The background papers are from the Graphic 45 Bloom series and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and a few miscellaneous one that I had from friends sending them to me (thank you Jasmine!).

I really hope this inspires you to play along with this color challenge. To enter all you have to do is make a project that uses the color palette above, then post the photo of your project into the album in the FaceBook group. You can enter up to three times as long as your projects are in the album prior to the last day of the month. I'll announce the winner on the first of February when I post the new challenge! Remember, we are a coloring group, so your project needs to have something colored on it! Wanna know what you're trying to win??? OK!!!!

So, here I am trying to get back into the swing of things with this awesome Image from Scrappers Delights! I love the Anime characters as they are sooooo detailed and so expressive. They are just a lot of fun to color and they host a lot of personality.

I colored this girl up on Sweet Sentiment Coloring Paper using my Copic Markers in the following colors:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000 and R20 for her cheeks and eyeshadow

Hair: E49, E18, E39, E17, E13

Dress: V99, RV66, RV55, RV17, RV52

Eyes: YG99, G16, G000 and the black Multiliner from Copic in .05

The paper I used is from Unity stamps in their new paper line, which I'm so excited about. It's glossy like a photo and oh so beautiful, it's totally what inspired the colors for this card. The length of Satin Ribbon was sent to me from my friend, Margarita, and I tend to use it sparingly because I want to hoard it forever. Seeing as it was the PERFECT shade for this card though, I just had to include it! The sentiment I added is from Altenew.

HOP day!

Hip hip hooray, it's KKS July release HOP DAY!!! Awe yeah baby!

So prepare yourself for the crazy amount of amazingness that is about to hit ya today! Woohooo! Hop day is so much fun because you get to see all of the new release in action, I bet you can't wait to get your hands on these awesome stamps!

Well, today, since we all know I'm such a fan of Annie Rodrigue stamps, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use...... FEARLESS FARRAH!! I think she may be my favorite out of this release.... not that I pick favorites, it's too hard... but it's convent for me to say that she's my fave and that's why I chose to use her or today! hahahahahah Here ya go!!!!

I used some DSP from My Minds Eye that looks like graph paper, I used some ribbon from Leah, and some matte sprinkles from Doodlebug, then i cut her out using Dies from Gina Marie! EEEKKKK!!!! She's just so darn cute! I even gave her freckles! I mean, come on, she NEEDED some freckles right? Anyways, I hope that you love her as much as I do and I hope that you have fallen head over heels for this release like I have.

I'm so happy to have spent this week with you all, and I'm super happy you have left comments along the way. Did you know that I post nearly every wednesday and saturday? What's Kraken?!?!

Hi everyone! Welcome to another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! The challenge this week is to use Pink, Orange and Green!!!!! Naturally when I saw a color scheme challenge you all knew I'd jump at the chance.... I LOVE color challenges!

I sat to work almost immediately.... well,.... I colored up little miss Sandy Seawater here and went.... hum......... so I left her on my desk for a few days. I really didn't know what to do with her... I picked her up a few times... but then sat her back down... my Mojo had sunk. What to do what to do????? Then my cousin texted me while I was sitting at my desk... she said.... "Hi Pal, what's crackin'?" Then it hit me!!!!!! Behold.... Sandy and her Kraken!!!!!

Full disclosure is that I JUST became the proud new parent of a Cricut Explore.... so... I used it to cut the Kraken tentacles and ocean waves. Then I tied on some coordinating ribbons and boom!!!!! My very first pop up card was complete! I just love how this turned out! Now, it's YOUR turn. I can't wait to see what you all make!

So, wanna see what I made for this week's Wonderful Wednesday? I think it's pretty "Nifty."

Our school had a Sock Hop a couple of weeks ago and I made these awesome little gifts as prizes for different contests. I used some regular yardstick and I watercolored it with distress inks and a sponge.... then I embossed this sweet little couple with versa mark and basic black embossing powder. I tied them to retro candies and soda bottles with lots of bright curling ribbons! EEEEKKKKK!!!!! So cute!

It's Saturday.....

Saturdays bring us "Themed challenges" and I love me some themed challenges! They are so open, but give me just that tiny amount of guidance so I know what direction to go in. The theme this Saturday is.... you've guessed it.... FLOWERS!!! So, glue them, color them, draw them, whatever you think will work for you, but show us some FLOWERS!!!! Here's my card for you to see:

I used Miss Floatin' Fiona, who is not particularly a "floral" type stamp. But I wanted to show you all that you can use ANYTHING for the flowers challenge. I colored her up on a FB LIVE video for you all (well I colored her hair and eyes and skin on the live video), then cut her out with an oval die from Gina Marie. I added some Doodlebug paper (from the we are mermaids 6x6 paper pad) and 7 bazillion flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts. I finished it off with a few enamel dots from Echo Park and a couple of seashell shaped buttons (you can't really see them as they are sorta under the flower petals, but trust me, they are there). I really hope you like it! So BRIGHT and fun!

This Week's challenge is....... HEARTS! As you can see from my card below, I'm a little more subtle on my "hearts" than most tend to be. I used a but of DSP from Doodlebug, some wooden embellishments and a couple of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

OMG! I'M A GDT!!!

It's here, it's here, MY GDT month is here!!!!!!!!!! I can't even say how honored and excited I am to be part of the Krafty team this month! Oh man, oh man there is some AWESOME stuff that you're going to be using, I'm too ecstatic and can't wait to share!

The embellishment is just a few strips of wash tape that are from Recollections from Michael's.

Sniffle... my last day.... sigh...

How is it Friday already????? Wow, I can't even believe it's my last day in Growing In Unity. It's been a fun week, but I'm not going to get all sentimental on you..... sniff sniff..... so, let's get to business.

You know how much I love Phyllis Harris stamps???.... Nod your head.... yeah... you know I love them.... Well, why would I not choose to use one for my last showcase project? That would be pure craziness! This set is called "Your Wings Exist," and it's on sale for under $10!!!!!!!! You better hurry and grab one before they are all gone!

So, I may have gone a little flower crazy, but is that even really a bad thing? Ha ha ha ha I love making shaker cards these days, although I will admit there is quite a learning curve and it takes a while to work out in your head just how you're going to make it all work they way you want to. With that being said, I totally love this card and I hope that the wonderful woman I send it to will love it as well!

Coffee and a little friend

It's my second day of Growing In Unity and I'm so excited to show you what I've made! I adore Phyllis Harris Stamps, this lady has like THE BEST artistic style. Simple and flowing and just stinking cute! Sooooooo..... Of course I'm going to use one of her images today! Here it is:

I used a scrap of lace that I had in my (cough, cough, HUGE) ribbon bin, and all the amazing flowers I found at Firefly Crafts that are made by Wild Orchid. I just love them, I'm so addicted to them! I colored her up with my copics on Ex-Press-It Paper, it's soo smooth and takes so many layers of color! I also decided that she really needed to have a little piece of cake to go with her coffee, so I found one of the amazing wooden embellishments that I also got from Firefly Crafts (yeah, they have way too much cute stuff).

I adore my Unity stamps and I can't wait to show you what I have made for tomorrow. It's something TOTALLY different for me! Ahhhh!!!! Don't forget to comment each day as I'll be choosing to random winners for a Unity prize!!!
