It's cold outside and that makes me wanna use the sweet little polar bears from Shake it up Polar Bears once more. I think they like to come out to play when it's cold outside..... So, here it goes....

I used some snowy DSP from The Paper Studio and pink satin ribbon from Recollections. The sequins are from my collection (yeah, I have A LOT) and a few white Nuvo drops. The pink haze is worn lipstick from Distress Oxide Ink. The little bear is colored with my trusty Copic markers!

I chose to use the amazing Krafty Comeback set called Bootylicious Pirates! I just ADORE thesis girls! So, so so so so much!!!!!

I actually made this card as a gift certificate for my friend who has her own business. She wanted a special card to send to a friend. So, I went with pirates!!! Arrrrggghhh!!!!!

Wonderfully Spooky Birthday

Oh yes, it's Wonderful Wednesday again and that means that ANYTHING GOES! ..... and you know what???? When ANYTHING goes.... I do crazy things.... like make halloween stamps into birthday cards! Yup, it happened!!!!!

Here's the amazing Electric Evelyn, in BIRTHDAY FORM!

I colored her up with my Copic markers and added some graphic 45 papers. I used my Cricut to letter the sentiment and my distress Oxide inks to add that blue haze around it. Then I guess on a bunch of flowers from Wild orchid Crafts and that's about it! Fun huh?

I decided that I couldn't go any longer without showing you guys the Witch I began coloring on a color along not so long ago.... so here's the finished card!

I use a TON of Stickles on this card, and it's a shame you can't see it in the photo, but this thing glitters like there's not tomorrow... the background is made with the distress inks you see in the photo and then i used a flat paint brush to paint streaks of glittery Stickles behind this sweet little witch. The papers are from Doodlebug.

It's Wonderful Wednesday and that means another "anything goes" challenge.

My friend asked me to make a card for her dad for his birthday. The only thing she gave me to go on is that he was in the Air Force and that he has a blonde Yorkie dog that he takes EVERYWHERE with him. Not a lot to go on there... but..... I knew I had the PERFECT stamp set to make the card... I used..... "Sky's the Limit!"

I Just love how this one turned out. I had that sweet little airplane charm and the cool bakers twine to add, along with all of those fun clouds! I used a die to cut out the image and of course I used a ton of pop dots (I really should buy stock in a pop dot company).

Ok, so I hope that this inspires you.... go forth and craft you wonderful people! Tootles!

A Sweet Little Zombie

Welcome to Wednesday, ain't it grand? I'm so glad that this week is half way over! ha ha ha! Seriously though, I'm just ready to lock myself int he Room of Requirement and have a little me time.

I think that my mood was a little dark when I sat down to make this card.... because our sweet little Rosie Fairy has taken a turn to the dark side.....

I found this scrap of vivid damask print paper and used it as my inspiration for this card. I figured with Halloween just around the corner, that this little fairy could dawn some grey skin and be thinking of sinister things. I added a few flowers because, I mean, she IS a fairy after all. I stamped the sentiment directly on a little wooden sign that I've had in my crafty stash for years.

I hope that this little card inspires you to play along with us this Wednesday, remember it's always "anything goes." make something fun and spooky and just have a good time. I know I feel better now after creating something a little "different." Can't wait to see what you make! Tootles!

Let the good times roll

It's wednesday...... yup, mid week, we're half way there! So pour some coffee and take a look at all of the awesome Wonderful Wednesday projects that the DT has created. Today I'm using the super cute stamp set "Let the Good Times Roll." It was retired for a while, but Kimmie was able to get a few sets remade in Red Rubber!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!! So, if you don't already own this set, roll on over to the KKS site and scoop one up before they are gone again!!!!

I had such a blast coloring this image, it really was fun. I used some papers from Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) that I thought really went with the image, and I cut some clouds out of various colors of white yardstick on my Cricut machine to make the clouds. FUN!

So... since it's summertime still (although it sure is going by fast) I decided that I would use the recently re-released Sea Jewels set! Ermergersh I love them!!!!! I didn't have them before the Krafty Chamber of Secrets opened back up so I was super duper excited to get them in my mermaid lovin' little hands! Here's my card!

Most of these papers are out of my scrap bin, the ribbon too. So, all I can really tell you is that I colored her up with my Copic Markers and fussy cut her with my Cutterbee scissors, and then used dome whit Nuvo drops for texture the stars in her hair. Yup... that's about it!

Wonderful (social) Wednesday

Man alive I spend a lot of time on Social Media... like my phone is permanently glued to my hand and my laptop is always near. It's nice to unplug every once in a while, but I really miss all of my friends when I do "unplug." It's just the society we live in today, don't fight it.... it's all gunna be ok.

With all of that being said, I was inspired to use little Miss Social Sally today for my anything goes card for the very last Wonderful Wednesday of the month. I can't believe that July is gone and August is upon us. Soon the kids will be going back to school and the grind of the "normal" will be back upon us. I'm sooooo excited! ha ha ha!

Ok, so here's what I did;

This card is 5x7 and I used The Paper Studios pink textured card stock, the black and white layers are Recollections card stock. The yellow was a scrap, I have no clue what it is! Ha ha ha, just keepin' it real! The DSP is from Echo Park and I Adore it!!! I took the sentiments that came with the Social Sally stamp and inked them and put them inside all of the little thought bubbles. Then the flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts. Gosh I love their flowers! That funky paperclip I got at Wal Mart like 2 years ago, they were on clearance and I thought they were super neat! I colored up Sally with my copic on Express-it blending stock. Here's the colors:

Forget about Christmas in July...

I know, I know, I know... BAH HUMBUG!

But seriously people, everyone is already doing that Christmas in July thing... we're forgetting something seriously important here.... HALLOWEEN! I mean, since I was little I've always LOVED Halloween.... but NOT in the "normal" ways. I am NOT big on candy, don't get me wrong, I love me some York peppermint patties, and I LOVE milky way midnights (OMG YUM), but..... and this is a very large but..... I HATED going out and going Trick-or-treating. Just wasn't my thing. So, in what was did I love halloween? I'll explain, ...... DUDE..... It's the one day a year that you get to all out dress up for no good reason and spend the entire day as something totally fictional! How is that not the MOST AWESOME THING EVER?!?!?!?!?!?

So, with all of that tangent off of my chest... let's get to the card shall we? He he he! I'm sorta in the BRIGHT color mood lately.... so I took out this wicked cute stamp set that I never use (gasp)! This set is called Squishy Hugs and it just makes me laugh!

I mean, check out the look on that cat's face! Isn't that just priceless?!?!?! I used a top note die from Stampin up! and crossitch circle dies from Gina Marie. There's a fistful of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and of course I used my Copic markers to color up this sweet little girl and her cat.

Ok, so bust out those Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and get to coloring! I just can't wait to see what you create!!!

Wonderfully Dandy

I decided to do something TOTALLY different today for you all... and for me. I'm trying to push myself as an artist and grow, broaden my horizons.... so..... I present to you a totally out of my wheelhouse and comfort zone card!!!

This paper.... I just HAVE to tell you, I purchased to make my wedding invitations, and in four days it will be 12 years old! Wowza!!!!! Anyways, I wanted this card to have a vintage sort of feel with just a tiny teeny hint at maybe some color. If you look really close, the image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils, but just barely. The image is Dandy Lion, which is the Krafty Komeback this month, and the sentiments are from the Dandy Lion set and the Sincere Thanks set. I used distress ink in "Tea Stain" on a sponge to distress the edges of the kraft paper. then I used an ivory colored ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to embellish the card. I really hope you guys like it!

I went for a super clean and simple springtime look with the sweet little lamb from Blessings of Peace.

The sentiment is from the Hoppy Friends set but I thought it was PERFECT for this little card.

Inside I simply re-stamped the lamb and used a sentiment from the Sincere Thanks set to finish off my card. I really hope you like it.

So, who else is excited for Beauty and the Beast coming out on the 17th? I'm losing my mind over here!!!!! Naturally, I decided that my Wonderful Wednesday card HAD to be Beauty!!!!

I used a few DSP from Bo Bunny because I wanted that vintage and soft feel to the card. I used a sponge and "Vintage Photo" and "Tea Dye" Distress inks to age the edges of the papers. The flowers are mostly Wild Orchid with a few others from the Recollections line. I colored Beauty with my Copic Markers, of course!
